Baramulla : An army man died fell into a deep gorge in upper reaches of Boniyar sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday late night.

Police officials told INS that the deceased has been identified as soldier Naik Parvez Ahmad of 5 Grenadiers was part of patrolling party.

“The incident happened late last evening. He slipped and rolled down down into a gorge at Turna area of Boniyar along Line of Control,” they said.

He was declared brought dead by doctors at medical facility.
