Anantnag: A team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh today sealed Al- Qadir poly clinic for brazen violation of COVID-19 protocol.
During a surprise inspection it was observed the medical establishment openly violating standard operating procedure (SOP) meant for fighting covid-19 pandemic.
It was found that patients were not wearing masks and violating physical distancing. Also, sanitizer for the safety of patients, which is mandatory at the places where there is a good footfall of people, was not available.
Addressing the media, the additional deputy commissioner, said that it was sheer irresponsibility on part of doctors to not enforce covid-19 protocol at their clinics specially at the present critical stage when the whole valley is witnessing a spike in positive cases .
ADC said he was astonished to see patients in hundreds huddled together outside the OPD rooms in the clinic corridors with nobody caring for mandatory protocol.
He said instead of receiving treatment, the patients had been exposed to infections of varied nature including the dreadful covid-19 pandemic.
