Srinagar, August 28: Two unidentified militants were killed in a gunfight with a joint team of police, army and CRPF in Kiloora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian on Friday.
Official sources said that the joint team launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Kiloora and as they encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter, they said.
“Two unidentified militants have been killed. The operation is going on and further details shall follow,” a police officer said.
