Infiltrator Killed Along LoC In Rajouri: Army

Jammu, July 1: Army on Wednesday claimed to have foiled an infiltration attempt by killing a militant in Keri area of Bhimber Gali Sector in Rajouri district.
“Based on specific intelligence inputs from J&K Police, a joint operation was launched close to Line of Control in Keri area of Bhimber Gali Sector in District Rajouri,” an army spokesman said in a statement.
“(Militants) were seen crossing the Line of Control and the alert troops of Indian Army foiled the infiltration bid resulting in killing of one (militant),” the spokesman said, adding, “One AK-47 with two magazines (was) recovered. The search operation is in progress.”
