Srinagar, June 29: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday ordered Bhim Sen Tuti (IPS), DIG, JKS Range and Rajiv Omprakash Pande (IPS), SP Udhampur, to report at their new places of postings in Ladakh, forthwith.
Both the officers are under orders of transfer from J&K to Ladakh as per June 9 order and the government today said that they “shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect.”
Consequently, the government has ordered Vivek Gupta (IPS), Incharge DIG, Rajouri-Poonch Range, to hold the charge of the post of DIG, JSK Range, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
“Sargun (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Leh, under orders of transfer from UT Ladakh to UT of J&K, is posted as Superintendent of Police, Udhampur,” reads the Home department’s order.
Meanwhile, as per a separate order, the government accorded sanction to the placement of Rakesh Kumar Dhar, SP (Selection Grade) of J&K Police (G) Service [Telecom], as In-charge Director, Police Telecommunication, on officiating basis, with charge allowance as admissible under rules.
“The arrangement is purely temporary, made in the interest of administration, and shall not confer any preferential right on the officer for his promotion, which shall be made strictly in accordance with the applicable rules,” it said, adding, “(The) placement shall be without prejudice to the outcome of Writ petition(s), if any, pending consideration before any competent court(s) of law.”
