Srinagar, June 26: Three militants were killed in a gunfight with a joint team of police, army and CRPF at Chewa Ullar area of Tral in Pulwama district. Police identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained. Two AK-47 were also recovered from the site of encounter.
The operation was suspended last evening due to the darkness and was resumed at the first light, officials said.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army’s 42 RR and 180 BN of CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Chewa Ullar.
