3 militants killed in Lower Munda gunfight, bodies recovered

Srinagar: Three militants were killed in an encounter with government forces in the Lower Munda area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday morning.
Reports said that a joint team of Police and army’s 19 RR launched cordon and search operation in Lower Munda.
As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which later retaliated, triggering off an encounter.
A senior police officer said three militants were killed in the gunfight and their “bodies have been recovered.” However, the identity of the slain militant was declared.
