2 persons killed as house collapses in Rajouri

Rajouri: Two persons were killed when a Kacha house collapsed overnight following rainfall in remote Channi Sunderbani area of this mountainous district, officials said on Monday.
They said kacha house of one Mohammad Hussain collapsed due to which 30-year-old Mohammad Parvez son of Mohammad Hussain Lohar and Manzoor Hussain son of Alam Din of Banwadi died.
The house collapsed midnight, trapping the two persons who were asleep in one of the rooms, a police official said. He said the local residents immediately launched a rescue operation. The bodies were removed by police and further details are awaited, the official said.
