Rain, hail predicted in Jammu, Kashmir regions

Srinagar: Weatherman on Friday forecasted fairly widespread light to moderate rain and isolated thunder squalls with lighting, hail and gusty winds in the next few days in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official of the local meteorological department said there was the possibility of fairly widespread light to moderate rain and thunder squalls over J&K and isolated light rain or snow in Ladakh region in the next 24-hours.
For the subsequent two days, the weatherman predicted fairly widespread to scattered light rain and thunder squalls.
The weatherman has also issued a yellow warning for isolated thunder squalls with lightning, hail and gusty winds (30-40 Kmph) in both Jammu and Kashmir regions from 17 to April 18 and isolated thunder squalls with lightning on April 19.
There are four types colour codes signifying the level of caution: green (which means no action), yellow (situation to be watched), amber (government agencies need to be prepared for severe weather) and red (action needed by the agencies).
