Ganderbal: Police arrested another drug peddler in a snap naka at Safapora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A police officer said that in view of enhanced anti-social activities by miscreants, who have been taking advantage of the prevailing situation, a special police team headed by SHO Safapora Sajad Khanday, under the close supervision and guidance of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal and DySP S M Shafi laid the naka at Kolpora Safapora. A white color Alto Car(JK02AC/2111), driven by Ishfaq Ahmad Ganaie of Ranbir Garh Shalteng Srinagar was intercepted, the official said.
“On thorough frisking, contraband of banned drugs was recovered from the vehicle which was found to be kept cleverly by the driver.”
A case (FIR No. 18/2020) under section 8/21, NDPS Act has been registered in the Police Station Safapora Ganderbal.
