Order Eatables online, admin will deliver at doorstep, DC to people in Bandipora

Bandipora: Amid lockdown to fight Coronavirus infections and COVID-19 if you are in need food items and other essentials, you can order on-line or call the district administration same will be delivered at your doorstep within shortest possible time.
The district administration Bandipora started this innovative initiative to provide essential supplies to the people at their doorstep without moving out of their houses thus maintaining the social distancing protocol.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza on held a meeting with representatives of Trade Federations and local e-Commerce Companies to devise a comprehensive mechanism to ensure home delivery of essentials to over 70 thousand households, without having them to move out of their homes.
It was decided that limited passes will be provided to such persons who will deliver the food items while concerned designated officers will coordinate the process.
DC Bandipora constituted a committee of Officers headed by General Manager, District Industries Centre, Bandipora, Mehraj-ud-Din, with Tehsildars of different Tehsils as its members.
The mobile numbers of shopkeepers including General stores, Vegetable Sellers, Kiryana Shops, Diary Product Sellers, Whole Sellers and Fertilizer sellers were also notified, with whom the committee members will coordinate for home delivery.
For Online order of food items the customers have been asked to call or Whats app on 9070007044 and 8825024381 or log in at www.kashtales.com and place order. The delivery boys will get the items from designated shopkeepers and deliver the same within shortest possible time. The people can also directly contact the shopkeepers whose numbers have been notified and published on official website www.bandipore.nic.in and official Facebook Page of District Information Centre www.facebook.com/dicbandipora.
The district except Gurez valley has been divided into five sub-zones including Bandipora, Hajin, Sumbal, Ajas and Aloosa with concerned Tehsildars at the Nodal Officers for the distribution system. The concerned Tehsildars have been asked to ensure planned distribution in a manner which will ensure reaching-out to all households besides strict adherence to all advisories and guidelines issued to contain spread of Coronavirus.
Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora said that none of the food store will remain open in these areas as ration is being directly supplied to the beneficiaries either through nearest retailers or through e-commerce agencies.
He said if the shopkeepers want to be part of this initiative they should approach the district administration or the concerned tehsildars.
Similar distribution system is in place for delivery of LPG to consumers and about 2100 LPG cylinders have been distributed at doorstep of the locals, in past five days. Consumers have been asked to raise requests for their requirement with their service agencies and be rest assured that LPG will be delivered to them at their doorsteps.
DC Bandipora said the ration is being supplied by the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs at the designated Food Stores while following the guidelines of lockdown ensuring social distancing
