In meeting with Altaf Bukhari, Vohra calls for high voter turnout in Municipal, Panchayat polls

Srinagar: Altaf Bukhari, Member J&K Legislative Assembly from Amirakadal, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan On Wednesday.

Bukhari welcomed Governor’s decision for conducting elections to Municipalities and Panchayats and informed him about several serious developmental issues relating to his Constituency which require high priority attention, according to an official statement issued here.

Governor urged Bukhari to spread awareness about the importance of the forthcoming elections to Municipalities in September-October and to the phased polls for the Panchayats in October-December so that both these elections witness a high percentage turnout.
