Covid:-19: HC Judges Announce Contributions

Srinagar: In order to collect funds to be utilized for relief to the victims of Corona Virus (Covid-19) infection, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir in a full court meeting has decided to make contribution.

The Chief Justice and all Judges of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir shall make a contribution of Rs. 25,000 each.

Similarly, it was also decided that all the District Judges of the UTs of J&K and Ladakh shall contribute Rs. 15,000 each and all Sub-Judges /Civil Judges (Senior Division) and Munsiffs/Civil Judges (Junior Division) shall contribute Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 7500/- each respectively.

“High Court has also decided that all the Gazetted officers of the High Court Staff and Gazetted Staff of the Subordinate Courts may contribute Rs.5000 whereas all the Non-gazetted staff of the High Court and Subordinate Courts may contribute one day’s salary.”

This contribution shall go a long way in combating this pandemic which is spreading its tentacles on rapid basis throughout the world .
