Mysterious blast at tailoring shop in Kupwara, one person killed

Srinagar: A man was killed in a mysterious blast inside a tailoring shop in Keran area of frontier Kupwara district on Sunday.
Reports said that the blast took place at around 9 a.m. at Ferkiyan area in Keran, resulting in grave injuries to a local, Abdul Hamid Bajad. He was immediately removed to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on the arrival, reports said.
The tailoring shop, belonging to Parvaiz Khawja, also suffered substantial damage, they said.
Police also confirmed the Bajad’s death in the incident and said that investigations have been launched to ascertain the nature of the blast. A police officer said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard.
