Anantnag: Members of Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association on Thursday protested inside the premises on District commissioner Anantnag’s office against Government for failing to implement schemes meant for disabled persons.
Scores of disabled persons assembled inside the premises and raised slogans against the government for failing them.
They were demanding Golden Cards for disabled persons, allotment of sheds, four wheelers vehicles , ration cards, 5% reservation in block schemes, reservation without subsidy in SC/ST/and OBC, scholarship of wards of disabled persons and allotment of shops at Pahalgam where formalities have been completed but allotment had not been done in favor of disabled persons.
The Association requested to the Administration to look into the matter and redresses their genuine demands so that they can have a sigh of relief.
