Anantnag: Gunfight erupted between militants and government forces in Wopzan village of Bijbehara area in Anantanag district on Tuesday.

According to initial reports the contact with militants has been made and both sides are exchanging gunfire.

Earlier forces had laid siege over the area and launched search operation to flush out any hiding militants.
