Kupwara: The employees of Public Helath Engineering Depertment Division Handwara held a pecafull protest demonstration within main town Handwara against the killing of their colleague who was beaten to death in  Sarmarg Lachanpora of Distirct kupwara.
Demanding exemplary punishment to the accused, a teacher by profession, who had ruthlessly beaten the PHE employee Ghulam Ahmad Lone while on offcial duties in the area.
Lone was shifted to Handwara Hospital, but was referred bro Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
Lone breathed his last on late sunday.
The accused has been arrested by police.
Police identified the accused as, Farooq Ahmad Mir so of Abdul Jabbar Mir a resident of sarmarg Lachanpora.
