Weatherman sees possibility of snowfall in parts of Kashmir Valley including Cave Shrine area today

Srinagar: Weatherman on Sunday forecast snowfall in parts of Kashmir’s upper reaches including Amarnath Shrine cave.
It is raining since morning at most districts of the state and Director meteorological department said there will be gradual decrease in rainfall.
He said although no major change was expected, there was possibility of significant fall in temperature at Baltal, Cave shrine and Seshnag area during next 1 to 2 days. “Holyc cave area may even get snowfall this evening. Chances of landslide, flash floods at vulnerable spots is high,” he said. He said all concerned departments of all districts should note it. “Significant improvement in the weather is most likely from August 1 only,” he added.
