Kupwara: Phd scholars are getting martyred and our youth are being accused of protesting for just Rs 500 while people at helm of affairs enjoy as people suffer said Shah Faisal on Monday.

Faisal was speaking at his maiden public meeting in TRC ground Kupwara where thousands had turned up to listen to him.

Faisal told the gathering that he as a officer had a bitter experience of what people were experiencing and how their problems were not being listened to.

“Kashmir is a political issue and should be resolved in the political way,” he said.

“While people suffer, those at the helm of affairs would enjoy. My experience of seeing all these things perturbed me and I left to USA but the thought of my people suffering did not let me stay their,” he told them, adding that the callous attitude of people in power and the suffering of Kashmiris forced him to come back and join politics.

“My politics will be like of Imran Khan and Arvind Kejriwal and my party members will work selflessly for people,” he said.

Reacting to  what he called ‘speculations’ he said that he is being called ‘a planted agent’.

“To those I would say that  I am here to represent the people. I know I’ll be dragged to the dust or I may lose but I will endure all of these things for my people,” he said.
