Pulwama: Around hundred sheep and goats perished in a cloudburst at Nargistan upper pastures of South Kashmir’s Tral sub district during the intervening night, officials said.
An official in sheep husbandry department told INS that during the intervening night of Friday & Saturday, heavy rainfall preceded the cloudburst in Bradi Angan area of Upper Nargistan which created panic in the whole area.
He said that “around 100 sheeps and goats have been killed and more than 50 among them were recovered while as others are missing yet in nearby Nallas.”
Meanwhile, sources said that sub distt. administration, and Sheep Husbandry Department are assessing the situation in the area.
