Sopore Gunfight: Slain militant identified, was associated with LET

Sopore: The militant killed in Sopore gunfight has been identified as a Baramulla resident and had joined militant ranks couple of months back.

The slain has been identified as Adil Ahmad Chana s/o Ali Mohammad Channa of Arampura Baramulla.

He was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit, sources said.

The gunbattle between militants and government forces erupted during CASO in Gundbrath area of Sopore in the wee hours of Wednesday.

He is a three months old militant, official added.
