Gunfight between militants, forces rages in Gundbrath Sopore, internet suspended

Sopore: Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Sopore village in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday morning.

Forces had launched cordon and search operation lin Mir Mohallah Gundbrath area of Sopore subdivision following specific inputs about militants presence in the area. 

The anti militancy operation is being jointly carried out by  22RR army,SOG and ,CRPF.

An official said that the contact with hiding militants and exchange of fire is going on.

Two to three militants are believed to be trapped inside.

Meanwhile internet has been suspended in Sopore.
