Cricketer from Baramulla dies after being hit by ball during match in Anantnag

Srinagar: A teenaged batsman died after he was hit by a ball during a cricket match of a tournament being organized by the Government’s Youth Services and Sports Department in Anantnag district.
Official sources said that left-handed batsman Jehangir Ahmad War (19) of Goshbugh Pattan Baramulla was hit near neck while pulling a ball during the match played between Baramulla and Budgam. They said the ball evaded the protective gear (helmet) and hit Jehangir who fell unconscious. He was removed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead
Jehangir was studying in class 11th at Government Higher Secondary School Goshbugh Pattan, Baramulla.
