Ganderbal: Daily wage employees of Power development department on Wednesday in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district protested against government demanding disbursement of their pending salaries in earnest.

Scores of workers under the banner of PDD/STD workers Union assembled in STD/PDD EXN’S office and marched towards Mini Secretariat Ganderbal while raising slogans.

We have lost count of how many months of our salaries is pending with the department, protesters said.

District President STD/PDD Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad said that their wages are being held since many months and have not released till date due to which they have to face immense hardships.

The protesters appealed to concerned department and Governor administration to release their pending wages and threatened that if the wages are not released immediately, they will be forced to come on roads.
