Kupwara: A local man working with Armys 7 Rashrtriya Rifles suffered grave injuries after he slipped into gorge at Dogra point in Karnah sector on Thursday. He later succumbed to fatal injuries.
A police officer told INS that they received a communication from concerned units stating that a porter slipped down while he was transporting some material from Rangi post to Sogra.
The injured was was evacuated to RMO who declared him dead on arrival.
A case under 174 crpc  has been registered in this regard and probe has been initiated.
The official identified the slain porter as, Ghulam Din, 45, son of Shah Mohammed  a resident I’d Draggad.
