Banning civilian traffic on highway for 5 hours unjustified says JKNC’s Mohd Rafiq Khan.

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Mohammad Rafiq Khan has criticised government over its decision to halt movement of public transport on Qazigund-Nashri stretch of the Jammu-Srinagar Highway  for five hours, in view of Amarnath Yatra.

“It is unjustified and unwarranted and should be revoked  as early as possible. It is going to cause unnecessary restrictions to the civilians travelling from Srinagar to Jammu and vice-versa,” Khan said.

Khan also expressed sorrow over the tragic road accident at Thakrie area of Keshwan in Kishtwar District, in which 35 persons lost their lives and 16 others sustained grievous injuries.
