Inter College Judo tournament 2019 concludes at KU

Srinagar, June 29: The Annual Inter College Judo tournament (men/women) 2019 concluded here at University of Kashmir on Saturday.

During the tournament various competitions were held in 8 weight categories for both boys and girls.

The event witnessed a huge participation particularly from female judokas. In men’s category overall winner trophy was clinched by Gandhi College Srinagar while as Runner Up trophy was awarded to Amar Singh College Srinagar.

 In womens category Women’s College M.A.Road continued its dominance for fourth time in a row by clinching winner’s trophy while as Amar Singh College secured runner up trophy.

The three day event witnessed tough competitions across all weight categories.

Dr.Nisar Ahmad, Coordinator, Directorate Physical Education and Sports accompanied by Mr. Nadeem Ahmad Dar Assistant Director distributed prizes and trophies among the medal winners.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Nisar Ahmad thanked officials of the directorate and physical, directors of participating colleges for their cooperation in making the event a grand success.

The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Ms Surjeet kour Sports Assistant of the Directorate.
