Anantnag: Residents of Halpora Anderwan on Wednesday protested inside district commissioner Anantnag’s office alleging that administration failed to depute any officials to their village during much hyped ‘Back to Village’ programme of the government.

According to residents of Halpora Anderwan area of Kokernag while officials did visit their neighboring village none came them to know the problems faced by them.

They alleged that when they raised the issue with the officials the officers rebuked them.

Meanwhile talking to INS ACD Anantnag Mohammad Aslam said that he has received the complaint from the villagers and DC Anantnag has been duly informed about the case.

“We will depute a special team to visit the village,” Aslam promised.
