Srinagar: Kashmir High Court Bar Association on Tuesday endorsed the demand by International Lawyers Association and United Nations Human Rights Council, headquartered at Geneva, for conducting an international probe in the circumstances that led to the death of Late President Mohammad Morsi of Egypt in a court room.
“In an Executive Committee meeting held here today it was stated that since the death of Late President Morsi occurred while he was in custody, therefore, it was a clear case of custodial killing, therefore, not only under the domestic law of that country but also the international law, it was punishable and in order to fix the responsibility, it was necessary to conduct a probe into his death, by any international independent agency so that the guilty are punished,” the lawyers body said in a statement issued here.
