Pulwama: Clashes erupted amid shutdown being observed over militant killing in Pulwama town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Protesting youth and forces deployed in the area clashed in the main town following which forces used tear gas and pellet guns to disperse them.
Eyewitnesses said that some youth were injured in the clashes and have been evacuated to medical facility for treatment.
Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, District authorities have suspended classwork in some educational institutions including GDC Pulwama.
