Anantnag:  Two militants and an army man have been killed in an ongoing gunbattle with government forces in Marhama Sangam village in South kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday

An official said that two militants have been killed while one more, they believe is trapped there.

One Army man also lost his life to fatal wounds he received during firefight.

The encounter broke out following forces launched anti militancy operation over specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

A joint team of forces including 3 RR, CRPF and SOG are conducting the operation.

“The operation is still in progress. Identity of the slain will be disclosed later,” he said.

Meanwhile internet services have been snapped in Anantnag district.
