Kupwara: Completed a decade ago a health centre at Alachizab area of Kupwara is still running from a rented accommodation as health department failed to compensate the land donor.
The land for the health centre was provided by Rashid Ahmad Mir a resident of Alachizab  as he was assured of compensation or either appointing him or any of his kin as government employee within the department.
“No promise was fulfilled till date by the authorities,” Mir alleged.
According to Mir the the building for the health centre was completed in the year 2006 and since remains locked.
Mir claims since 2006, not a single official has ever visited the spot.
“I had considered their proposal as it would have helped me to feed my family and at the same time a health center would help the area as well. However health department does not want to help people,” Mir accused.
“I have asked him to produce revenue documents and according we will initiate the process and try to compensate him soon in possible way”, BMO Trehgam Dr Nisar Ahmad said.
