Malik, along with his advisers was addressing a presser at SKICC in Srinagar.

” Delimitation (of constituencies) is a constitutional matter, even the Home Ministry has not confirmed it. Right now these are only rumors,” Malik said, as reported by ANI.

Delimitation of constituencies has generated an uproar in the state and is being claimed ‘move to appease vote banks’.

While experts have said that there is a blanket ban on any such move, imposed by the court in the state, the debate has engulfed the political spectrum.

During the presser Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir claimed that  2,05,000 tourists visited Kashmir till June this year.

“By the end of the year, we may cross the target of 10 lakh tourists. We are re-structuring our tourism development authorities, new areas will be developed in Kashmir,” he said.
