Anantnag: A cop has been injured in chest after he was fired upon by unidentified gunmen at KP Road in Anantnag district on Wednesday.

According to officials the SHO Arshid Ahmad was fired upon and received gunshot wounds in chest.

“He has been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment,” he said.

Panic gripped the area after the gunshots rattled the area.
