NEW DELHI: Ajit Doval reappointed as National Security Adviser (NSA), given rank of Union Cabinet Minister, officials said.

Doval, a close confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,was reappointed to the post for five more years and also given Cabinet rank in the second term of the NDA government.

“His position has been upgraded Minister of State (MoS) rank to a Cabinet in recognition of his contribution over the last five years in the security of the country,” a report by Times of India quoting sources said.
