According to him the anti militancy operation in the area was launched following a specific input that in Appan area of Marwah there is movement of militants.

“A team of SOG and District Police left for the area on 30-05-2019 in the evening hours.  Today while Police team was on its job, it came under fire from unidentified militants near Faizi Bridge,” he said.

In the exchange of fire two SPO’s Mohd. Iqbal and Ashiq Hussain were hit by bullet. Both have been evacuated to medical facility.
