Srinagar: Body of a Government teacher, who was missing from one week, was found in his native district in north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Monday.
The 29-year-old Mushtaq Ahmad Lone of Sheikhpora Mantrigam was found dead by locals at Laharwalpora near Walur Lake after which police was informed and his body recovered.
Mushtaq’s family had been trying to find him and also filed a missing report with police station Pethkoot.
As per the family, Mushtaq left from his home on May 13 to attend his duty at Chuntimulla where he is posted as a teacher in government higher secondary school.
Since then family had been searching for him at every possible but no avail, his brother Manzoor Ahmad said.
Manzoor said that according to the headmaster of the school they were together till they reached Bandipora main market on May 13 but when they called Mushtaq by the evening his phone was switched off. He said that when they failed to trace him they lodged the missing report at police station Pethkoot. Police on Friday had issued an appeal to general public, urging them to share information, if any, about the missing teacher.
