Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) is organizing a seminar at its Rajbagh headquarters on Saturday in connection with the ongoing “martyr’s week” being observed to commemorate the anniversaries of Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq, martyrs of Hawal massacre of 21 May 1990 and Abdul Gani Lone. The seminar will be presided over by the chairman of amalgam, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while all the Hurriyat leaders and intellectuals will attend it to pay glowing tributes to the leaders and all the martyrs of Kashmir struggle, a spokesman said. “The speakers will also talk about the present political situation and the challenges ahead.”
The spokesman said that the seminar will commence at 10:30 am with the recitation of the Quran.
Meanwhile, the spokesman paid glowing tributes to the armed youth killed in separate encounters at Panzgam, Pulwama and Hathlangoo village of Sopore, stating that the Kashmiri youth are being selectively targeted even in the ongoing fasting month of Ramazan.
The spokesman said that the main reason for the ongoing bloodbath in Kashmir was the lingering dispute and until it’s resolved in the backdrop of its historical perspective through sustained dialogue, there can be no guarantee to the peace in the region.
