Highway closed following landslides at Digdol

Srinagar: Kashmir highway was closed for traffic on Tuesday following landslides and shooting stones at Digdol in Ramban.

A traffic police officials said that the road was closed due to fresh landslides slide stranding thousands of people on the highway.

The official said that no traffic movement would be allowed on the Highway. “We are trying to clear the stranded vehicles first.”

He said the restoration work was going on but the continuous shooting stones were hampering the clearance work.

Last week, the highway remained closed for several days due to landslides and shooting stones.
