Commissioner Higher Education calls upon VC KU Prof Talat Ahmad

Srinagar, May 10: Commissioner Higher Education Talat Parvez Rohella today called upon Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Talat Ahmad in his official chamber here on Friday.
During the meeting several issues regarding the functioning of the colleges affiliated with the University of Kashmir were discussed threadbare and emphasis was laid on strengthening the quality of education in these colleges.
The commissioner emphasized upon improving the quality of teaching and learning outcomes to make the students nationally and internationally competitive.
He suggested to the the Vice Chancellor that each satellite campus of the University should be developed as a centre for excellence and special focus should be given to introduce courses based on skill development, tourism, food processing and other job course.
While interacting with the Commissioner VC KU Prof Talat Ahmad said that the university is very much alive to the problems faced by the colleges and more efforts are being made to improve the quality of education in terms of timely revision of academic curriculum and introducing skill development courses.
Dean Academic Affairs KU Prof Akbar Masood, Dean College Development Council Prof Mohiuddin Sangmi, Controller Examinations Prof Farooq Ahmad and Registrar KU Dr Nisar A Mir were also present during the meeting.
