India, Pakistan armies trade gunfire along LOC in Poonch district

Srinagar: India and Pakistan armies traded gunfire along line of control in Poonch district in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to officials the exchange erupted in in kerni and Shahpur sector of Poonch district after Pakistan violated the ceasefire along LOC.l

The firing began at around 4.30am and continued till  6am.

“No loss of life have been reported so far,” reports said, adding that Indian army responded to firing in a ‘befitting  and calibrated manner’.
