Ganderbal: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on Saturday order opening of Srinagar-Leh highway for all type of vehicles.

According to an order issued by Div Com K Baseer Khan the SRINAGAR-SONAMARG-GUMARI (SSG) Road has been declared open for all Types of vehicular traffic with effect from 05-05 2019.

The road was earlier opened for Light Motor Vehicles only.

Large number of trucks carrying essentials were stranded for days together with perishable items on  the road.

They were waiting for approval from authorities to let them move towards the Ladakh division of the state with essentials.

The Div Com order said that for the time being the traffic will be allowed between 10 am to 3 pm.
