Shopian: An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight between militants and government forces in Adkhara area of Imam Sahib in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday morning.

Police sources claimed that while one militant has been killed, operation is ongoing and intermittent firing continues.

Sources claimed that they had launched the operation following specific input that two to three militants are hiding in the area.

The operation is being jointly conducted by Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
