Army resorted to aerial firing following a scuffle with locals over forces thrashing former market president trehgam during convoy movement at Trehgam kupwara on Saturday.

 

Reports said that Army asked the former Market president to move aside and hit him with a cane leading to intense scuffle between army men and locals.

“The army convoy had to move from the area and the two sides grabbed each other’s collars,” reports said.

Army officials rushed to the scene to pacify army men and former Maket President Trehgam Mohammad Aslam Sheikh.

“Huge crowd assembled there arguing with Army for their action , Army men later fired few shots gunshots in air to disperse them,” reports said.
