Sopore: One unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with government forces in Malpora Watergam area of Rafiabad in North Kashmir Baramulla district on Friday evening.
A source said that at around 8:55 p.m., militants fired a volley of bullets on patrolling party of army’s 32RR in paddy fields in Malpora Watergam village which was retaliated, triggering off an encounter.
In the brief shootout, the source said, one unidentified militant killed and arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
