Tral: Fire broke out in the Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday evening but timely action by locals and fire and emergency department prevented any damage to the revered shrine.
Reports said that as soon as the fire, the cause of which is being verified, was spotted, locals rushed to the spot and also called the fire and emergency department. Soon fire tendered reached the spot and the blaze was controlled before it could cause any damage to the shrine, they said.
Soon after the fire was brought under control, locals staged a peaceful protest within the shrine premises and were chanting slogans against the administrators.
The protesters urged the people to observe complete shutdown in the sub division tomorrow. Meanwhile, ADC Tral S.A. Raina said that he will begin the inquiry related to the incident and asked people to remain calm and not to believe in rumors.
