Anantnag: Government ordered ban of use of disposable articles in the state is yet to take place in district Anantnag and the administration is in deep slumber on it.
According to sources the administration, the ban was implemented half heartedly as distributors and shopkeepers continue to sell these kinds of disposable articles in the district.
District officer pollution control board Anantnag, Firdous Ahmad told INS that they have implemented the order in district Anantnag and have already taken action against the shopkeepers and distributors who sell these kinds of disposable articles.
“Due to parliamentary elections the action had delayed in district and after elections we will continue this process to ban the disposable articles in district,” Firdous said.
Government had banned all disposable articles including plastic tableware like plates, bowls, cups, knives and forks.
