Srinagar: After being questioned for the three consecutive days by National Investigation Agency (NIA) over ‘terror funding’ Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday returned home along with his amalgam leaders and his legal advisor.

Mirwaiz was summoned by NIA for the three times following which he went to New Delhi on Monday and appeared before the NIA court where he was quizzed for three straight days.

He had earlier refused to reach New Delhi citing security reasons and current situation, while as the NIA in the third summon promised security to him following which he along with his some amalgam leaders and his legal Advisor reached New Delhi on Monday.

After being quizzed for three consecutive days, Mirwaiz was allowed to return him today by the NIA.

Sources said that Mirwaiz has reached Srinagar this evening. They added that he has left from Srinagar Airport towards his Nigeen residence.

Notably, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested on February 22, 2019 evening has been sent to NIA custody till April 22, 2019.
