Srinagar: The divisional commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan has ordered closure of Srinagar-Leh highway, connecting the Ladakh region with the Kashmir valley, from November 22, 2018 Thursday till further orders.
An order issued by the divisional commissioner reads: “In view of the report received from deputy commissioner Ganderbal on 21 November 2018 regarding bad weather and slippery condition of the road surface on Zojila, thereby endangering the life and property, it is hereby informed for information of general public that Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road Zojila Pass shall remain closed for all types of vehicular traffic with effect from 22nd of November 2018 till further orders.
