Kupwara: Eleven government employees have been suspended from services in Kupwara district by the district election officer for failing to attend their election duties.
The poll parties were scheduled to be despatched on 7th of April for Karnah, Keran and Machil areas.
The employees were intimated telephonically intimated to be present at TRC kupwara for dispatch, distribution to leave for their respective poll destinations.
“The officials failed to attend their poll duty re hereby place under suspension and attached with the office of Deputy DEO kupwara,” order reads.
The officials have been identified as Manzoor Ahmd Khatana, Education department, poll duty at Hardoring Bala, Ashiq Hussain Khan, Education Department, BHS Dudi Machil, Abdul Ahad Sheikh, Education, BMS Dapal Machil, Ab Rasheed Mir, Education, Hardo Ring Bala Machil, Ajaz Yousaf, Education, Hardo Ring Bala Machil, Shakeel Ahmad Shah, Education, pushwari Machil, Gh Nabi Tantray, Education, Chuntiwari Machil, Gh Mohi ud din Mir, Accounts distt fund Officer, Dappal Machil, Fayaz Ahamd Dar, Education, BHS Machil, Riyaz Ahmad Khan, Education, Dappal Machil and Gh Mohi ud din Malla, Sheep Husbandry, Hard Ring machil.

Additional deputy Commissioner kupwara has been appointed as enquiry officer who shall conduct enquiry and furnish report within a period of 15 days.
“The salary of the officials shall remain withheld till further order,” the order reads.
